Houndoom's Super Max, Event mode paused
September 2026- Mega Houndoom has gained a genuine Super Max tier and was added to the Super Max species list.
- The Mega Ascension (Event) mode tab is temporarily disabled while it's not in use — the underlying data and logic are untouched, and it can be re-enabled later.
Pokémon search box and best-IV-spread display
September 2026- Added a search box above the Pokémon dropdown to filter the 61+ species by name — no more scrolling a long list to find one, especially on mobile.
- League CP Cap Planner cards now show the best possible IV spread under each cap (already computed internally for the rank calculation, just wasn't surfaced) alongside your own IVs' rank.
CPM table fix, event wrap-up, and Beedrill's Super Max
September 2026- Fixed a real bug in the CP formula itself: the CPM (level multiplier) table had incorrect values specifically across levels 12.5–29.5, while levels 1–12 and 30+ were always correct. This silently affected any Pokémon calculated in that level range and was the true cause behind several discrepancies earlier in this project that had been chalked up to stale levels or imprecise IVs (Steelix, Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Victreebel, Slowbro, and the original Raichu X/Y puzzles all touched this broken range). Found by cross-referencing an independent CPM source and confirming the fix against real screenshots that had never resolved before.
- The "Mega Ascension" event has ended. Regular mode is the default again. Event mode is kept available for reference/future events but no longer loads automatically.
- Regular mode's Super Max boost updated: +5 → +2 effective levels (e.g. power-up level 50 → effective level 52, not 55). Niantic evidently kept a permanent Super Max boost after the event but set it lower than the event's own numbers. Base/High/Max still give no CP change in Regular mode.
- Mega Beedrill has gained a genuine Super Max tier and was added to the Super Max species list.
- Re-verified base stats against PvPoke's live data post-event — no changes needed, everything still checks out.
Mega Ascension event mode
September 2026- Discovered and added a second, temporary Mega Level system tied to GO Fest's "Mega Ascension" event, where every Mega Level tier gives its own level boost — not just Super Max. Added a Regular / Mega Ascension (Event) toggle at the top of the page so both systems are available side by side.
- Confirmed via many in-game screenshots (exact CP matches against independently-verified base stats): Base tier is typically +2 levels, High tier is +4 levels (confirmed 7 times, always exact), and Max / Super Max are typically +5 levels each — correcting an initial tweet-sourced claim of +6/+8 for those two.
- Discovered the event boosts aren't fixed constants: Base has also been confirmed at exactly +2.5 on one Pokémon, and Max at exactly +6 on another — both clean, unambiguous matches, just different from the typical value. High is the only tier that has stayed perfectly consistent across every test so far.
- Updated the tool's Event mode copy to clearly flag Base and Max/Super Max as best-effort estimates rather than guarantees, since the real boost for a given Pokémon may not match the typical value shown.
- Moved the Changelog link to sit beside the footer credits, separated by a bullet, instead of its own line.
Super Max Mega, verified stats, and site polish
September 2026- Confirmed and implemented the real Super Max Mega (Level 4) mechanic: it sets a Pokémon's effective level to power-up level + 5, and this overrides Best Buddy's own +1 rather than stacking with it — verified against in-game screenshots of Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Dragonite.
- Added the Super Max option to the Mega Level selector, shown only for Pokémon that actually have it. It's now confirmed available on Mewtwo X, Mewtwo Y, Dragonite, Gyarados, Gengar, and Pidgeot — a wider list than initially assumed, since it turns out Super Max isn't restricted to a fixed species list.
- Corrected base stats (Attack / Defense / Stamina) for all 61 Mega and Primal Pokémon, sourced from the game's live data rather than guesswork. 18 species had incorrect values in the original dataset.
- Removed a fictional "Mega Level 4 (+5 flat level boost for everyone)" mechanic from the original build — Mega Level (Base/High/Max) never affects CP on its own; only a fully-invested Super Max tier does.
- Fixed Mega Alakazam's Defense stat (207 → 206) after solving it precisely from two in-game CP/HP readings at different levels.
- Verified Mega Steelix, Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Victreebel, Raichu X, and Raichu Y stats against independently published max-CP milestones — all confirmed correct. Earlier CP mismatches for these turned out to be stale level assumptions and imprecise IV readings from older screenshots, not actual data errors.
- Added a "Max Level" button next to the level slider, and a direct number input alongside it for precise level entry.
- Added footer credits and this changelog.
